After accumulating nearly 50 years of experience in the pigment industry, the Houchi group launched the DOXA brand in 2007. With dispersing agents remaining a core competency, the DOXA brand has expanded over the years to include additives for solvent and water based systems, as well as leveling agents, defoamers and other functional additives.
DOXA’s factory was opened this year in Douliu, Taiwan. With a dedicated factory and combined warehouse capacity of 1500 tons, our production department gives DOXA the ability to meet the needs of any firm, large or small.
Our factory is equipped with reactors with capacity ranging from 50L to 10 tons, and it has a max output of 500 tons/year (1 shift). That’s why we’re able to meet the needs of both local players and global companies, and rapidly scale up or down depending on need.
In 2009, the Houchi Group, of which DOXA is a part, proudly celebrated its 50th anniversary. From its beginnings as a paint shop in southern Taiwan, the Houchi group has grown to become a global company encompassing DOXA (additives), Asiafine (pigments), Doxabio (animal feed additives), and a grinding machine division. From the raw material stage, through the grinding and performance improvement stage, the Houchi group is here to meet your firm’s needs.
Seven years after its founding, DOXA’s product line and global presence continued to grow. In 2014, we expanded our 2 series, additives for use in water-based coatings, to meet growing demand in this space. We are continuously investing in R&D to be prepared for and meet new market trends head-on.
DOXA was awarded an ISO 9001 certificate in 2011. In 2014, DOXA began the REACH pre-registration process. Our products are also compliant with the DNS, TSCA, and AICS protocols as well as others. For more detailed information, please consult our compliance page.
2015 has been an exciting year for DOXA thus far, and we’re looking forward to the future. We continue to invest heavily in R&D, both to develop new products and help existing customers solve formulation problems. Some new developments from this year include further development of our 5 series for powder coatings and plastics, our Condox hardness promoter line, and our Doxflow leveling agents. We intend to close out 2015 strong and anticipate a great 2016 and beyond.
